Кои са най-очакваните филмови адаптации на книги?

Ето кои от нашите любими книги се класираха в класацията 100 най-очаквани филмови адаптации на книги.

‘I Am Number Four’

Attached: Alex Pettyfer, Dianna Agron, Timothy Olyphant, Kevin Durand
Status: DreamWorks must have had a pretty good feeling about this sci-fi young adult series from infamous “A Million Little Pieces” author James Frey; they began shooting the film before the first volume from Frey and co-author Jobie Hughes had even been published. So will audiences turn “I Am Number Four” into the next “Harry Potter”-sized hit as the studio so clearly hopes? The subject seems right — a bunch of teenage refugees from another planet discover they are being hunted to extinction here on Earth and have to use their emerging superpowers to save themselves — but it’s a pretty big gamble.

‘Breaking Dawn’

Attached: Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart
Status: Author Stephenie Meyer penned this obscure little novel a few years ago, to little fanfare, but now it’s… oh, who are we kidding. You probably already know everything there is to know about the eagerly awaited adaptation of the fourth and final (?) novel in Meyer’s record-shattering “Twilight” series. The action is so big this time around, though, that they had to break it into two parts; the second half of the story won’t land in theaters until Nov. 16, 2012.

‘Wake’

Status: Our good pals (and, you know, employers) over at MTV are set to distribute this adaptation of Lisa McMann’s bestselling 2008 young adult thriller about a girl who develops the power to enter other people’s dreams. One of several books being developed around Hollywood in hopes of capturing the post-”Twilight” crowd, “Wake” will likely star teen singing sensation Miley Cyrus in the lead role, which could give her a nice career boost should the film prove successful enough to warrant filming the two sequels, “Fade” and “Gone.”

‘The Host’

Attached: Director Andrew Niccol
Status: Niccol (“Gattaca,” “Lord of War”) has been chosen to spearhead the latest adaptation from “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer. “The Host” tells the story of an alien who comes to Earth an inhabits a girl’s body, which sets in motion a whole slew of really complicated romantic entanglements due to the whole split personality type thing. But with aliens. We’re sure that Meyer’s legion of fans are probably already waiting in line for this one, but while we’re just as excited, we’re not quite ready to get our sleeping bag out just yet; casting hasn’t yet begun, so it will likely be more than a year before this actually hits theaters.

‘The Hunger Games’

Attached: Director Gary Ross
Status: “Seabiscuit” shot-caller Gary Ross is set to helm this eagerly awaited adaptation of the first book in this wildly popular series from author Suzanne Collins. Ever since “The Hunger Games” hit shelves two short years ago, fans have been arguing over who should play the lead role of Katniss Everdeen, a girl who is forced to fight to the death on live television in a dystopian future America. So far, Ross and company haven’t yet settled the debate, so until they pick a Katniss, expect the internet to continue to be blow’d up byheavily invested fans.

‘The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner’

Status: So what is Hollywood going to do once “The Twilight Saga” has ended? Easy: make more “Twilight” movies anyway. At least, that’s the rumor that surfaced this fall, as “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” is apparently being bandied about by The Powers That Be for its own full-length film adaptation. Jodelle Ferland played the doomed Bree in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” but unless they go into production right away, chances are she’ll be too old to play Bree by the time they get the ball rolling. Darn those ageless vampires!

‘City of Bones’ (‘Mortal Instruments’)

Attached: N/A
Status: Every studio in Hollywood — and every fan of films and books — has been searching for the next “Harry Potter” since the moment that series came to an end. And Constantin Films thinks they have found it in “City of Bones,” the first installment of Cassandra Clare’s popular young adult fantasy series “The Mortal Instruments,” which tells the story of a seemingly average girl who discovers she has incredible powers — powers that she must use, naturally, to save humanity or somesuch. The book came out three years ago but so far the film hasn’t moved beyond the screenplay stage, something we hope changes very soon.
